Correct sizing is based on a room heat load assessment. We consider room dimensions, ceiling height, number of occupants, window size, sunlight exposure, and heat-generating appliances. This ensures the unit is neither underpowered nor oversized, delivering efficient and consistent cooling.

Do monobloc air conditioners have both heating and cooling modes?

The Olympia monobloc air conditioning unit is designed for quick and easy installation in rooms - they can be installed at both low and high level. 

To install you need to core drill two wall holes (160/202mm ∅) and have a plug socket for powering the unit

You will need to consider wall type, wall thickness, external wall materials e.g. cladding that might be challenging for core drilling.

Yes, monobloc units are designed for straightforward installation. Most require just two wall penetrations and a standard plug connection. However, core drilling through external walls should be done carefully using the correct tools, and we always recommend professional installation if you are unsure about structural walls or electrical safety.

Are there any tips for DIY installation?

  • Carefully measure and mark drill positions before cutting
  • Ensure both air ducts are correctly aligned and sealed
  • Use appropriate insulation around wall sleeves to prevent air leakage
