We recently completed a residential air conditioning supply and installation project in London, providing a complete cooling and heating solution.
Monobloc air conditioning is an excellent alternative to conventional split systems, particularly for properties where installing external equipment may be restricted or where homeowners prefer a more discreet solution.
The Project
For this London property, we recommended the Olimpia Splendid Unico Pro 35 HP, a high-performance monobloc air conditioning system designed to provide both cooling and heating.
Unlike traditional split air conditioning systems, which require an indoor unit connected to an external condenser, the Unico Pro houses its main components within a single indoor unit.
The system exchanges air with the outside through two openings in the external wall, eliminating the requirement for a separate outdoor condenser.
This made it a suitable solution for the property, offering year-round climate control while keeping external equipment to a minimum.
Supply & Installation by The Air Shop
We provided a complete supply and installation service, managing the project from equipment selection through to installation and commissioning.
The installation included:
- Equipment supply: Supply of the Olimpia Splendid Unico Pro 35 HP monobloc air conditioning unit.
- Installation preparation: Assessment of the proposed unit location and external wall requirements.
- Wall duct installation: Completed the necessary preparation works, including core drilling two external wall penetrations (160mm/202mm diameter) to accommodate the air conditioning pipework and connections. An additional hole was drilled to allow for the condensate drainage pipe, ensuring effective removal of water produced during operation. A suitable nearby plug socket was also required to provide power to the indoor unit. Once the necessary penetrations and preparations were completed, our installers positioned and mounted the equipment, connected the associated pipework and drainage, and completed the system installation.
Every stage was considered to ensure the installation was completed to the manufacturer's specifications and suited the property's requirements.
